Terms of Use

These terms cover the use of this website. They are not the terms of a booking — those are a separate document, given to you before you commit to a journey.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by SVVAYAM, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. SVVAYAM plans and guides curated journeys across the Indian Himalaya — treks, wildlife and wilderness travel, pilgrimages and off-map expeditions.

Contact us at info@svvayam.in or +91 79066 09980. By using this site, you accept these terms.

2. This site is for enquiries

You can’t book or pay here. This website exists so that you can read about our journeys and get in touch. We publish no prices on it.

Nothing on this site is an offer you can accept to form a contract. Any itinerary, date, availability or price we describe here or discuss with you is indicative. A booking exists only when we confirm it to you in writing and you meet the conditions we set out at that time. Those booking conditions are a separate document, given to you before you commit.

3. Our photography and words

The photographs, route descriptions, itineraries, illustrations and written content on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You are welcome to read them, share links to them, and quote us briefly with credit.

You may not copy or republish our photographs or route descriptions elsewhere, scrape or bulk-download the site, or resell or repackage our content as your own.

4. Where we might be wrong

We work hard to keep this site accurate, but the Himalaya doesn’t hold still.

Altitudes, walking distances, day-by-day durations, shrine opening and closing dates, road and bridge conditions, permit rules and Char Dham yatra registration requirements all change — sometimes at short notice, sometimes mid-season. Treat what you read here as a guide to the journey, not a guarantee of it. Before you travel, the details we confirm to you in writing are the ones that count.

Nothing here is medical advice. High-altitude travel carries real physical risk, and you should speak to a doctor about your own fitness before committing to a journey.

5. Links to other places

We link to other sites — the map on our Contact page, WhatsApp, and our social media profiles. We don’t control them and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Their terms apply once you leave here.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one in force.
