The Journey Begins

One of the widest high meadows in Garhwal, and one of the shortest walks to reach one. Four days from Dehradun through Raithal’s terraced fields into oak forest that opens without warning onto grassland running to the horizon. Gentle enough for a first walk at altitude, and under snow for a good part of the year.

Highlights

  • A village walk and briefing at Raithal before the trek begins.
  • Open meadow and high viewpoints, reached without a technical climb.
  • Snow underfoot through winter, grass and wildflowers in spring.
