The Journey Begins

A winter trek built around a frozen lake and a ridge with one of the widest views in the region. Six days from Lohajung through oak and rhododendron to Bekaltal, then up to Brahmatal itself, with Trishul and Nanda Ghunti standing over the whole route. December to March, when the snow is the reason to come.

Highlights

  • A ridge day with Trishul and Nanda Ghunti in view for most of it.
  • Camps at Bekaltal and Brahmatal, both frozen through the season.
  • Oak and rhododendron forest on the lower approach, snow above it.
