The Journey Begins

Elephant country on the edge of Haridwar, and the easiest wild place in Uttarakhand to reach. One night near the park, an early safari into an operational zone, and broad unhurried terrain that rewards starting before the light does. Two days, and back in the city by afternoon.

Highlights

  • An early safari in an operational zone, when the forest is most active.
  • A nature orientation the evening before rather than a cold start.
  • Close enough to Dehradun or Haridwar for a single overnight.
